· Responsible for designing and delivering Microsoft-based solutions and leveraging the HP/Sage/Microsoft relationship. Solutions focus on Microsoft Windows NT, Windows 2000, Exchange, SMS, Terminal Server, and KM/BI solutions.
· Duties include sales/business development support, project delivery, creating and delivering technical presentations.
· Wrote numerous technical proposals for large clients such as Motorola, The Gap Inc., and TMP Worldwide.
· For CalPX, reviewed existing messaging architecture based on Lotus Notes 4.5
· Designed high level technical Exchange architecture spanning 350 users across 2 sites including directory integration, software distribution, Notes application migration, EMC disk storage and remote disaster recovery center integration.
· Responsible for designing and delivering Exchange solutions and leveraging the HP/Sage/Microsoft relationship.
· Duties include sales/business development support, project delivery, and training HP Consultants on Exchange and Windows NT.
· For Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce, designed high level technical Exchange architecture spanning 43,000 users and connecting seven different legacy mail systems.
· Implemented the new Exchange backbone, including connectivity to OV/MVS and cc:Mail legacy environments.
· Developed automated software package for hands-off client installation and configuration.
· Next steps include detailed design of infrastructure to support public folders, collaborative applications and integrated FAX services.
· Took over as Technical Team leader for HP in March 1999 responsible for technical site assessment, service upgrades and knowledge transfer to INTRIA-HP staff.
· Design lead for server consolidation of MDE and MS Exchange environments to two fully redundant datacenters.
· Designed and implemented test lab architecture to support SQL Server and 3rd party ERP solution.
· Supervised review of existing NetWare network.
· Designed network architecture for production network including file and print, applications, messaging, remote access and Internet access.
· Wrote Exchange Server scripts to intelligently route e-mail messages collected from Panasonic Web Site users.
· Scripts written in VBScript and executed using Exchange Server 5.5 Event Scripting Agent.
· Managed, planned and assisted in implementation of a Windows NT-based architecture for Panasonic Canada Inc.
· Managed and worked on concurrent technology pilots and rollouts of Exchange Server, Systems Management Server, and SNA Server.
· Other areas of technology included remote access, Internet architecture, TCP/IP planning and configuration, and general client support.
· Responsible for technology planning, software installation and configuration, system documentation, facilitating weekly status meetings, and troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
· Planned and executed a pilot implementation of Microsoft Exchange at Panasonic Canada’s head office. Migrated existing Lotus cc:Mail users to new system. Installed branch office servers. Tested remote access and configured Internet mail connectivity.
· Performed majority of technical work while managing two others working on the project.
· Branch offices in Montreal, Calgary and Vancouver have been rolled out and full migration is scheduled for completion in August 1998.
· Managed SMS multi-site pilot project used to determine benefits and issues surrounding SMS in the Panasonic environment.
· Managed lead technical consultant and coordinated tasks with client technical experts.
· Pilot has been successfully completed and Panasonic will gradually deploy SMS with full rollout scheduled for completion in August 1998.
· Managed SNA Server pilot project that included installing, configuring and testing two SNA servers for AS/400 connectivity.
· Managed lead technical consultant and coordinated tasks with client technical experts.
· Pilot and branch user rollout has completed with full rollout scheduled for completion in August 1998.
· Designed messaging architecture to integrate head office Exchange servers with CBA remote branches across Canada.
· Included recommendations on server placement, site topology, connectors, server sizing, and network fax integration.
· Planned and executed an MS Mail / Microsoft Exchange migration. Migration included approximately 100 head office users, and 44 retail stores connected over an X.25 WAN.
· Migration tasks involved designing the messaging topology, installing and configuring Exchange Server to transfer directories and messages with existing MS-Mail environment, and testing 16 and 32-bit clients.
· Gathered functional requirements and performed testing of existing mission-critical mail-based applications. Converted MS-Mail MAPI applications for Exchange Server. Provided application support and development training to internal staff members.
· Performed requirements analysis and designed system to replace M&S Food Distribution and Inventory Management system.
· Designed component-based VB5 / SQL Server / Exchange Server application to replace old VB3 / Access / MS-Mail-based programs.
· Built a hybrid scheduling application using Microsoft Outlook 97, Visual Basic 5.0, SQL Server 6.5 and Word 97. Application resides in an Exchange 5.0 public folder for group access, uses SQL Server 6.5 to store relational data and creates reports in Word 97 using automation.
· Participated in development JAD sessions, wrote system prototype and design document and was responsible for installation and configuration on Exchange Server and client workstations.
· Wrote business-critical reports for employee evaluation system using Crystal Reports 5.0. Work included writing SQL Server 6.5 stored procedures.

Produced complex reports under tight
deadlines.
· Built a prototype Exchange Contact Management system using Microsoft Outlook 97. Wrote extensive VB Script code, used ActiveX controls, and incorporated DAO database access to meet the complex Contact Management and mailing system requirements.
· Participated in Joint Application Development sessions to drive out requirements. Contributed to design and technical specification documents for final system.
· Set up a mini-lab to test key functions of Microsoft Systems Management Server for use in an international desktop standardization project. Performed remote inventory collection and software installations using SMS Server 1.2 and Windows NT 4.0, and tested remote Help Desk functionality.
· Wrote solution document detailing use of SMS in conjunction with the Desktop Standardization project.
· Gathered requirements including running Joint Application Development sessions with expert users and in-house I.T. professionals.
· Wrote a Visual Basic 4.0 application prototype for design sessions and presentations.
· Assisted in creation of detailed system design for managing student leads, financial details, academic records and post-graduate employment information.
· Analyzed and migrated out-dated source code from VB3 to VB4.
· Modified application to from single-user to multi-user access, flat file to Access database back-end, and added additional reporting functionality using Crystal Reports.
· Tested application, built setup diskettes and provided post-rollout support.
· Designed and developed Lotus Notes database for the back-end of the application. Built review and approval workflow for approving new projects. Modeled imaging solution for storing project site photos.
· Co-wrote Visual Basic front-end to interact with Notes database using VB/Link custom control.

· Prepared migration plan for new servers in eight locations across Canada for upgrading to Lotus Notes Version 4.1.
· Installed and tested new server software with existing network. Tested and migrated various R3 applications to new server.
· Built custom changes into new version of Lotus Notes ISO 9000 application. Re-wrote Notes macros to facilitate review and approval workflow process.
· Assisted in multi-site implementation of new system and troubleshooting.
· Analyzed business problem related to a distributed MS Access database used to store cellular site construction information across Canada.
· Wrote a solution document to reduce the effort required to distribute information and reports to locations across Canada. Recommended on-the-fly reporting solution to greatly reduce administrative effort.
